During a narrow escape from Soviet forces, Aimo Koivunen accidentally took a massive overdose of Pervitin meant for 30 men.
The accidental "super-soldier" then embarked on a week-long delirium, skiing 250 miles (400 km) through the arctic.
He survived a landmine, lived on pine buds, and was eventually found with a heart rate of 200 BPM.
Despite the extreme physiological toll, he survived the ordeal and lived a long life until age 71.
